• Be aware of your surroundings, particularly at night. If you observe or sense suspicious persons or circumstances, do not use the machine at that time.
• Have your ATM card ready and in your hand as you approach the ATM. Don.t wait to get to the ATM and then take your card out of your wallet or purse.
• Be careful that no one can see you enter your PIN at the ATM. User your body to shield the ATM keyboard as you enter your PIN into the ATM.
• To keep your account information confidential, always take your receipts or transaction records with you.
• Do not count or visually display any money you received from the ATM. Immediately put your money into your pocket or purse and count it later.
• If you are using a drive-up ATM, be sure passenger windows are rolled up and all doors are locked. If you leave your car and walk to the ATM lock you car.

Quite simply, it cost money to operate an ATM. Banks and independent ATM groups have invested a great deal of money in ATMs that are conveniently assessable to customers when and where they need cash. Besides the cost of the ATM itself, there are costs associated with the cash to fulfill the requested withdrawals, communications, transaction processing, maintenance, insurance, supplies and monitoring.

Any financial institution can participate in the Toll-Free ATM Network. It is simple and does not require the re-issuance of cards or costly systems changes.

• Write a letter/call or email the president of your institution to encourage your institution.s participation
• Call or email us to request a Toll-Free ATM Network professional to contact your bank
• Open an account at a financial institution that subscribes to the Toll-Free ATM Network

• Use the ATM Finder Search Engine
• Look for the Toll Free ATM Logo
• Samples of signage in the market place
  

Your financial institution must subscribe to the Toll-Free ATM Network in order to receive surcharge free transactions to Toll-Free ATMs. Please note the following:

• Any ATM that bears the Toll-Free ATM Logo will be available to you for surcharge free transactions
• You must use a card issued from that participating institution to avoid the fee
• Please ignore the fee notification posted on the ATM
• If you are presented with a screen option to either .accept. or .decline. the surcharge fee.please .accept.. YOU WILL NOT BE CHARGED A FEE! Your receipt should reflect $0.00 for the terminal fee.
